We Can Protect Our Families’ Freedom
Decisions around pregnancy, including abortion, birth control, and miscarriage care, are personal and private and should be left up to women and their families. But here in Ohio, government is making that decision for us. They’ve already banned abortion, even in cases of rape and incest. Vote Yes on Issue 1 to end the Ohio abortion ban and make sure women and families can once again make the decisions that are best for them.
This amendment is about who makes personal decisions for yourself and your family – you or the government. Voting Yes on Issue 1 puts Ohioans back in charge of their families’ personal medical decisions.
Who We Are
The Coalition
Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights is a coalition of statewide reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations working to ensure Ohioans, not the government, have control over their own reproductive freedom.This ballot committee was formed by the ACLU of Ohio, Abortion Fund of Ohio, Ohio Physicians for Reproductive Rights, New Voices for Reproductive Justice, Ohio Women’s Alliance, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, Preterm-Cleveland, Pro-Choice Ohio, and URGE.
Collectively, these organizations represent Ohioans from across the state and key constituencies, including frontline providers, abortion funds, young people, and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, with decades of deep investment in Ohio community, care, and power.
These reproductive rights, health, and justice organizations are trusted institutions that have been working in partnership for decades to protect and expand abortion access and have formed an official partnership to amend the Ohio Constitution to explicitly protect reproductive freedom for all.
